Song post #98: Your Song

sorority

August 5, 2014

Song: “Your Song” – Ewan Mcgregor

Story: We all experience ups and downs in life. This song reminds me of the time where I lost one of my friends who got in a really tragic car accident. She was the first person who was my age, that I knew, that passed away. Not only that, but she was also in my sorority and we had just hung out and had such a fun night the week before with some of our other sisters. It was so crazy and out of nowhere. They played this song at her funeral. So, whenever I hear it… even all of these years later… I still think of her and hope she’s at peace. It’s also a reminder of how there’s no right timing for anything in life. Things will happen. So, make the most of it.
