BullHorn Media – IMC Plan

BullHorn Media – IMC Plan August 3, 2014 For 2014, quarter four. Budget: $7,600 I. COMPANY ANALYSIS
Located in the central Florida region, BullHorn Media is a boutique-style creative business that offers personal attention on projects ranging from video production to photography to graphic design. With being in business for over twenty years, Bull Horn Media has a plethora of clients which include Google, Pepsi, Gatorade, Planet Hollywood and more. Lisa LeGrand, one of the owners of BullHorn Media, has indicated that the main demographic and target market for the company is small businesses, trade shows, corporations, associations; anyone with a need for video production. Bull Horn Media has such an eye catching website that uses a variety of colors to enhance the graphic detail. Immediately, without clicking anything, you can tell that graphic design is a strength for the business. Coupled with a web visitor’s first impression of the company and Bull Horn Media’s reputation that has been built over the course of twenty years, the brand has a great portfolio to showcase to potential new clients that continuously sets standards for their competitors. Opportunity lies within creating accounts on different social media platforms, integrating the accounts into the website and keeping those accounts updated. The LeGrand’s goal is to generate leads and referrals so traditional forms of media can also be incorporated into the plan with the creation of promotional materials, ads in event programs and continued sponsorships at industry functions. To put it simply, BullHorn Media is in need of an integrated marketing communications strategy (“IMC” for short). Having an IMC plan will create a clear...

Making heads or tails of analytics

Making heads or tails of analytics July 29, 2014 The following post is measuring analytics from a three page pdf for a hypothetical health-oriented business in central Florida. This business has an online presence through Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and e-newsletter. However, Facebook and the e-newsletter are the only data provided. To begin, seeing the color green on your analytics reports is a good thing because it means that you have gained positive ground. At the opposite end of the spectrum is red–a color that you do not want to see in an analytics reports because it means that something was not a success. According to this specific Facebook Insights report, there was an increase of 0.69% of likes which equates to roughly six new people becoming fans–seeing a total of 880 page likes. Without knowing how long this company has been on Facebook, it is hard to measure whether or not having six new likes is less than an average week, average, or greater than their average. With having limited knowledge, I’m going to express that this is a positive change since it is an increase in having the potential to reach more people. Our second field, “friends of fans,” is also green since we’ve gained more fans. This particular field has increased by 1.31%. Then, red. The “people talking about this,” category saw over a 50% decrease in the amount of conversation and engagement generated by this company’s posts. This is an area that will need to be concentrated on–so I’ve noted it. Lastly, our “weekly total reach” is up over 39%. We’ve successfully been able to...

Live the magic in August!

Live the magic in August! July 12, 2014 Before I begin, I would like to say that this entire blog is based on a class assignment and has no affiliation with Disney. My goal is to communicate ideas which I believe could enhance Disney’s Facebook and Twitter during the month of August for the Magic Kingdom. — The goal for August 2014 is to drive user engagement by measuring “likes,” “favorites,” “shares,” and “retweets,” as well as increase our followers on both Facebook and Twitter by 0.3306% (about 4,000 people). We would also like to drive ticket sales during Extra Magic Hours where the park will remain open longer for the standard price of admission. Model Mayhem

Model Mayhem July 5, 2014 The benefit to networking and connecting with other people who enjoy your hobbies or belong in your industry is second to none. Not only can you learn from other individuals, but you’re able to practice and better your own skill set. Social networks that focus on industry specific users is probably more popular than you think. Sure, we have general social networking platforms like Facebook and Myspace, but did you know there are other domains out there that focus on fields like accounting, musicians, and lawyers among others? These social networking platforms offer those in their respective fields the opportunity to focus on content and material other than the typical Facebook timeline that includes about a hundred photos of someone’s cat or thousands of wedding photos from someone who just got hitched that you know. Industry related platforms help you to familiarize yourself and keep up with with that given industry and provide networking opportunities with others in your field without all of the clutter. The unique platform that I’m going to discuss is called Model Mayhem. What is Model Mayhem? Model Mayhem began in 2005 and is a website for professional models, photographers, makeup artists, stylists, designers and digital artists. MM, as users call it, allows people the opportunity to check out the legitimacy of different photographers (among the other professionals who offer different services) through the use of profiles that feature portfolios and references to people they have worked with from the website. Which, if you’re in the modeling world, it’s a big comfort. Why? There are so many scams on the...
